I usually am not one to drop lengthy reviews, but after having such a great time at my most recent vacation at Ras Al Khaimah, OneClickDrive deserves all the praise they can get. I spent almost a month at RAK with my two best friends, and for that luxury trip, we wanted to go all out. We were in search of the very best, and weren’t going to settle for a cheap monthly car rental Ras Al Khaimah. OneClickDrive gave us our dream vacation car, and this is how it went:
Planning For The Trip
Both my childhood friends and I grew up and got separated by distance, but we thankfully never grew apart. With Jake in South Korea, Allen in London and myself in New York, meeting up on a regular basis was totally out of the books for us. Five years ago, we planned a trip to France for 3 weeks, and ever since, our annual vacations have become a sacred tradition we all look forward to.
This year, it was my turn to be in charge of planning the trip, and we decided to go with Ras Al Khaimah. It was Allen’s idea, since he was there on a short business trip, and was eager to go again to experience all Ras Al Khaimah had to offer. The rest of us were a little skeptical at first. This was mostly because we haven’t heard much about the place before, but a little research quickly changed our minds.
Looking For The Perfect Rental Car
Allen suggested we book a rental car with OneClickDrive, and once I logged into their website, I knew exactly why he did. The site was bright and user-friendly, with so many options to choose from. I felt like a kid and a candy store with unlimited access to all he wanted. Sadly, I could pick only one Ras Al Khaimah rent a car.
After seeing all the exciting activities to be had in Ras Al Khaimah, we wanted a car that would be able to handle everything we had planned. We also wanted to travel in style, so we needed it to be a high-end vehicle. Thanks to the extensive filtering system, I was able to quickly narrow my search down to 2 vehicles. After taking a vote we went for the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I spoke directly to the supplier, booked our ride and set the pick up location to the Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.
Arrival And Pickup
Since we all took different flights to the Emirates, we arrived at different times. Jake was the first to arrive, so he drove the car to the hotel. Allen and I arrived much later. The taxi I took from the airport dropped me off in front of the hotel, and my eyes fell on our pristine white rental Jeep almost immediately I got down. I briefly checked out the exterior, and was more than impressed. At that moment, I just knew the trip was going to be an awesome one!
Cruising In Luxury
After our reunion, we spent our days exploring RAK’s many iconic landmarks, and quickly found out why it was referred to as the “Nature Emirate”. We took turns driving the winding roads of Hajar Mountains. Thanks to The SUV’s superior performance and handling, driving over any terrain felt like a breeze. We had enough time to experience all that and so much more, including dune bashing on our luxury desert safari and cruising the highways at near-illegal speeds.
Dropping Off
The location for drop off was also set to Ras Al Khaimah International Airport. I was the last to leave this time, so dropping off was my responsibility. It went smoothly, as I have come to expect from OneClickDrive. No hidden fees, no unusual penalties.
All in all, driving our luxury SUV rental was easily the highlight of our trip, and is something we plan to do again. Maybe next year, we’ll try Dubai, OneClickDrive’s HQ.
