Surviving a Trip To Dubai With Four Kids

Surviving a Trip To Dubai With Four Kids
  • PublishedSeptember 4, 2024

Vacationing with children is nothing short of an adventure. It can also very quickly turn into more of a challenge than you anticipate. When my husband, Blake and I decided to plan a family vacation to Dubai with our four little ones, we knew that we were in for something big. Whether that “something” would be good or not depended on how we planned the trip. First off, we needed a spacious but cheap car rental Dubai, because we were looking for an appropriate way to get around without bleeding our pockets dry. Moving from one form of public transport to another with four children ranging in age from 3 to 13 didn’t sound like a good idea at all.

Car Hunting

We needed a car that had enough space to accommodate our rambunctious bunch along with their luggage, car seats, and the other miscellaneous objects that you’ll need while travelling with kids. Public transportation was totally out of the options for us since we needed comfort, safety, and flexibility.

Blake and I decided to look up SUV rentals Dubai, and the first site to pop up was OneClickDrive. We were a little skeptical at first. Booking a car halfway across the world didn’t seem like the safest option. But after a quick overview of the site, we realized that they had really amazing reviews and a wide range of vehicles for rent with surprisingly competitive prices, and we decided to give them a try.

OneClickDrive had sedans, minivans, luxury cars and of course, SUVs. Thanks to their helpful filtering system, we came to a choice relatively quickly. We chose the 2024 Mitsubishi Xpander. Its spacious interior could comfortably seat 7 people, and its exterior design looked amazing. We figured the kids would love it.

We made reservations and booked our car 4 weeks in advance via WhatsApp. It was pretty straightforward and almost too easy!Arriving In Dubai And Picking Up Our SUV

After the 6 hour flight to Dubai, the kids were already getting testy. Thankfully, we didn’t have to add a complicated car rental process to the mix. Our SUV was waiting for us just as we were told it would be in the airport parking lot. It was as clean and sleek as we saw it in the pictures online. As we expected, the children fell in love with the interesting exterior and roomy interior of the SUV. We were delighted to see that the car seats were already installed. A very thoughtful move on the part of the rental company, especially after our long flight.

Our Time In Dubai

Over the next 10 days, the Mitsubishi was not just a vehicle, but it also became our hotel away from the hotel. Its spaciousness, convenience and advanced safety features made it possible to herd the little ones easily from one location to the next while trying to keep up with our full itinerary.

We were able to take several trips to the Dubai mall, we spent a day at Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark and even took a day trip to Abu Dhabi to visit Ferrari World.

Returning the Vehicle and Final Thoughts

Just like pickup, we chose the airport for drop-off. Before we did, my husband and I ensured the car was as spotless as when we got it. That meant getting the children to clean up after themselves and taking care to inspect afterwards.

We really wouldn’t have been able to make such an amazing time of our vacation if we didn’t have the convenience and peace of mind the SUV from OneClickDrive brought us. Something else stood out on our trip, and that was how much the company understood the needs of a family. The SUV came with all the features we requested and some that we didn’t know we needed. That being said, OneClickDrive is a rental marketplace I would recommend to anyone traveling to the UAE or any other country they operate in.
